Air pollution

Air pollution is only an issue for communist poor-whiners. They only whine about pollution because they can't afford houses in the country, or because they've trapped themselves working in some downtown factory. Well, that's their problem, not ours.

Another reason they go on about air pollution is because of their hatred of rich people. Before you dismiss this, remember that us rich people make most of the pollution. A news item:

"Some folks always seem to be in a hurry, even in their leisure time. They're buying yachts with neck-snapping acceleration and 60 mph-plus speeds... John Staluppi, a 41-year-old multimillionaire car dealer... wants speed on the water. He recently paid over $8 million for a 132-foot waterborne missile he calls Octopussy. Octopussy peaks at 61mph, powered by a trio of 3,432hp diesel engines... Staluppi's yacht can make Bermuda in 15 hours from New York...

Three years ago, 25-knot-plus yachts made up just 10% to 15% of the world market for 100-foot-plus yachts; today these yachts make up over 40% of that market."

Now, a Ford Taurus has 140 horsepower. This yacht has 10,296 horsepower. Obviously the liberal hatred of air pollution is an attempt to keep us from enjoying the good things in life.

Gretchen Morgenson, in a Forbes article:

"Take cars, for example. Instead of mandating that manufacturers install expensive pollution-control equipment on all cars, the costs of which would be paid by every car buyer nationwide, why not tax those drivers, old and new, whose cars exceed federally set emission limits? That way, one could still drive one's favorite polluter-on-wheels."

Now, you'll probably dissagree - after all, we're talking taxes here! But remember, we can afford them - but low-income commies won't be able to. Like in the Aspenization strategy of forcing them off the land, we'll be able to force them off the road as well.

Also in Forbes: Susan Lee:

"No one argues that we shouldn't have cleaner air, better education and strong scientific research. The question ...is, Should resources for these purposes be channeled through the markets for these purposes or through the government? When we choose the government we penalize economic growth."

It's important to keep people believing that there's some magical difference between work done by markets and by the government. To us, of course, there's a massive difference: we don't get any profits from the government.

Remember, if the government regulates the air and environment, rich conservatives will be inconvenienced, just like everybody else - however, commie workers will have to cut back on their driving, recycle their trash, and so on. All of this will make them hate environmentalists.
