Message from the Editor
With the close of 1998 being a great success let us continue to show the proud tradition of the FOP in our community. It appears that we will be bringing in the 1999 year with a bang. We have several projects lined up for 1999. To start with the FOP Calendars have arrived and will be distributed within the last week of December and the First week of January. The Toys For Tots project went with great success and left us with toys to spare. The Toys will be given to kids who end up spending time in our local hospitals for extended periods to help with the experience of being in a hospital. The Second Annual FOP Raffle will be under way in March of 1999 and the Third Annual FOP Family Outting is set for October 1999. Let us continue to grow in a positive way and remember that we are PROUD TO BE FOP!!!!
FOP Calendars are in!!!!
The South Texas Law Enforcement Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #60 has just received the 1999 Calendars. The calendars which were sponsored by seventy merchants in the area have arrived. The sponsors will be receiving Five calendars each and the membership will receive four a piece. The calendar project should be larger in the year 2000.
Second Annual FOP Benefit Raffle
The raffle will be held on schedule and the drawing will be on May 8, 1999. Remember all the raffle tickets will be due on May 5, 1998 at Brother David's. Please remember that our goal can only be reached if you do you part. We still have time left to sell. The Raffle will start March 1999 and our goal is to sell 3000 raffle tickets.
