About VLSAThe Victorian Liberal Students’ Association(VLSA) is the umbrella body for all Liberal tertiary students within Victoria. The Association is made up of constituent Liberal clubs from campuses throughout the state, although individual students may be members if there is no Liberal club on campus. VLSA currently has 9 member clubs – Deakin Burwood, Deakin Geelong, Deakin Rusden, Latrobe, Melbourne, Monash, Monash Caufield, Swinburne and RMIT. VLSA is governed by an executive consisting of an elected Chariman, Director and presidents of member clubs. VLSA focuses on campus activism, as well as the general cause of Liberalism. VLSA provides a forum for coordinating events on campus and promoting Liberalism. One example is VLSA’s successful campaign for the introduction of Voluntary Student Unionism within Victoria. VLSA is also a recognised state organisation within the Australian Liberal Students’ Federation(ALSF), and a VLSA delegate sits on the ALSF executive. VLSA continues to fight for the cause of Liberalism on campus and remains an active and commitment organsiation. |
