Make us your first stop on the Information Superhighway!
If you rely upon Sarsbrent House for useful and interesting information whenever you surf the Web, you can make it the first place you visit when you launch your browser. No matter which browser you use, setting Sarsbrent House as your home page is easy.
1. Go to the Sarsbrent House rotunda at http://www.sarsbrent.com.
2. Find the browser below that you are using and follow the directions. (If you are unsure what type of browser you are using, pull down the Help menu on a PC or the Apple menu on a Mac and select About. If you are using a browser not listed below, see the browser manual or help menu to learn how to set the home or start page.)
Netscape 3.0
1. Pull down the Options menu and select General Preferences.
2. Select Appearance.
3. In the field Browser starts with select Home Page Location.
4. Type into the field http://www.sarsbrent.com or copy and paste this address from the location field of your browser.
5. Click OK.
Netscape 4.0
1. Pull down the Edit menu and select Preferences.
2. Select Navigator from the menu on the left.
3. Click Use Current Page or type http://www.sarsbrent.com into the text field.
4. Click OK
Internet Explorer
1. Pull down the Edit menu and select Preferences.
2. Select Home/Select.
3. In text field within the box labeled Home Page, type http://www.sarsbrent.com.
4. Click OK.
Internet Explorer 4.0
1. Go to the page you want to appear when you first start Internet Explorer.
2. On the View menu, click Internet Options.
3. Click the General tab.
4. In the Home page area, click Use Current.
Internet Explorer 5.0
1. Click the Tools menu at the top of your browser window and click on "Internet Options".
2. Click on the General tab if it didn't open on that page automatically.
3. You'll see the first entry on the page is Home Page. In the box that says address, type in http://www.sarsbrent.com.
4. Click OK on the bottom of this window to close it.
Once you have completed these steps, returning to Sarsbrent House from anywhere on the Internet will also be easier than ever before. Simply click the Home icon on the navigation toolbar.
