Let me take you home...

It's often said you can't go home again
And the way this world is lived in now, my friend,
Only verifies this fact is often true
But sometimes the exception calls to you.

Let me take you home
To where the Valley sun
Warms the apple-blossomed air;
Take you home
Where fall paints maple trees
In all the shades of light, for all to share.

Let me take you home
To where the "Arms of Gold"
Embrace and rock your sailing boat;
Take you home
To where the ocean fog
Blankets coastal towns and eases all your doubts.

Let me take you home
Where Keji's crystal lakes
Reflect the haunting calls of loons;
Take you home
To where a cup of tea
Is as eas'ly served at midnight as at noon.

Let me take you home
Where under northern skies
My people bless this heaven for the eyes;
Take you home to see the Eastern coast,
Take you home to this small place I love the most.

So when you hear the call in city smog
And you yearn for gentle breeze and ocean fog
And you ask where this quaint paradise might be
Then I'll tell you Nova Scotia's home to me.
