My name is David Lingner. You can call me "ChemDoc." I've been a chemistry teacher at the college level (evening classes, mostly) since 1977 at Bates College, Purdue University, Grossmont College, National University, and Miramar College. I have taught chemistry at various levels, including an advanced chem-major course, a weed-out course for would-be engineers, chemistry with an allied health emphasis, OSHA hazard communication training, and what some would call "chemistry for poets." (I happen to like poetry, by the way.)

For the past six years, I have worked full-time as an environmental consultant specializing in Air Quality and Environmental Compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. It's my full-time job and I love it, I even get to do some teaching (we call it "environmental and health & safety (ECHS) training") once in a while.
