Deci as a class...

It has been said that this page is extremely egoistical, but it is true, just impolite to mention. Basically, this page is by far the most awkward of all b'cos the true feeling that we all feel is not one to be described easily. And things are never as homogeneous as you think. We had our share of fights, gossip, hurt feelings etc. but these are best forgotten, and sad to say, some of our best memories do not necessarily include the whole class, and we idd not write it down 'cos they are a) secret (something I do not enjoy) b) confusing to anyone who does not understand the nuances of our country/school/class' society.

This is a record of our most memorable moments as a class, but unfortunately, we had to exclude some of the embarassing scenes and include our proudest achievements because this is a school project. And we can't say anything against the school either. *grin*

One thing comes to mind when you ask us what was the best thing we did as a class. Our History Play!!! It was a musical about the founding of Singapore, with Dawn and Yujuan playing the illustrious Raffles and Farquhar. And it won first place among the plays in the GEP. But that was just an unexpected bonus. Basically, although it was hard work (we spent at least 2 months on it), we had a lot of fun and there was lots of class spirit! But that was in 1996, when we had Michelle and Sharen (they were transferred to another class in Sec 2) in our class as well.

Another thing we did in 1996 was MacJulius, another musical. It was a spoof of both MacBeth and Julius Caesar. We were second for that one, but once again, it was great fun.

In 1997, we did another musical called Revolution. It is about a revolutionary peasant girl, Marie falling in love with an aristocrat, André. But when he accidentally killed her father, Marie killed him on impulse, and tragically commited suicide.

A few of us collaborated for IRS to bake brownies. During the course of the year, we sampled professional brownies. chewy brownies, mint brownies, cookie brownies and many more. A bake sale was held and the brownies were snapped up in half an hour!

Not all the activities we did were academic in nature though. We had a class chalet after the year end exams. It was real great fun, we danced, played baseball, basically, we enjoyed ourselves.

Then during the long school holiday, many of us went to Sentosa. We spent a great day wading, eating brownies, and doing all sorts of crazy things that no one would be caught dead doing alone.

We also have many things in common, like the love of eating brownies, and watching musicals. We can do almost anything together, sure to have fun. Amazingly, even when we had known each other for only 2 years, we were always united and all trivial problems were never an obstacle for building our friendship.

All in all, Deci is as good as a class can get. I can only say,

DECI 4EVA!!!
