XPERIENCES

When I asked Shannon about her time in Sweden, she immediately exclaimed,

"Oh my god-the 10 cavities that I had! But seriously, if I hadn't of had to come back to see the dentist :(, I would have loved to have stayed another semester. Anyway, I'd like to study abroad again! One thing I thought was really hilarious was when at a culture party, the Swedes did a play about their sterotype of Americans. I've never laughed so hard--at myself!"

If I told you everything Scott said about Australia study abroad at Perth, this WHOLE web page would be about him! That's what happens when you have the chance at an experience like this and TAKE it! Scott put it like this:

"I thought I would have a hard time adjusting to time differences and cultural differences. Instead, I embraced the cultural differences. Experiencing the 'Culture Shock' was more exciting than frustrating. I saw and experienced so many neat things (kangaroos, Aussie Rules football, etc.) and LOVE to talk about it. And, while I learned a lot about Australia and Australians, I think I learned so much more about Americans. I guess, in a sense, I learned a lot about myself, and my life/lifestyle as an American compared to the world. My eyes were opened to so many things, people, ways of life." --pretty deep, huh.
