is proud to once again be offering the RSA/Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA).
This prestigious internationally recognised TEFL course will prepare you to be a teacher of English as a foreign (or second) language and qualify you to teach English in language institutes around the world. The course is an intense four week full-time course and is run in January, February (on demand), July and November. The next two courses are scheduled for 2 - 27 July and 19 November - 15 December 2001 and applications have already opened. There are a maximum of 12 candidates per course and Cambridge approved teacher trainers are brought to South Africa specifically to run the course.
Although teaching experience is not a pre-requisite many English teachers chose to do this course, either because they would like to teach English overseas, they feel they need more training to deal with ESL and EFL in the classroom or they would like to bolster their CV with an internationally recognised teaching certificate.
