• Steven Curtis Chapman This is one of my favorite Christian artists. He is so talented, and his music is great.
• Glorify Him These guys are good, and they're from Harding!
• Ray Boltz A fantastic musician!
• Free Indeed is an excellent group. I love listening and singing along to their music.
• DC TALKAre you a Jesus Freak? DC Talk has done so much for the Christian music industry by making it enjoyable to all generations.
• Jars of Clay Way cool-- They have also done great work by making Christian music that is enjoyed by those who might not otherwise listen to it.

• Mozart is my favorite composer. I got to see The Magic Flute in March; it was my first opera, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Go here for biographical information and listen to all 3 movements of the sonata I am currently working on (Sonata in A, k.331).
• Beethoven is another great composer. His piano Concerto in Cm, No. 3 and Sonata in Cm, No. 8 are my favorites.
• Chopin I am currently working on some of Chopin's preludes. Here's a chance to listen to much of his work
• George Gershwin Rhapsody in Blue--need I say more?
• Glenn Miller Steve isn't the only Miller that I listen to. If you're In the Mood for swing music, then jitter on with his big band!
• Aaron Copland a fantastic 20th century composer
• Van Cliburn It was my pleasure to see him in person as he introduced the program at the Dallas Symphony!
• Steinway&Sons Pianos Hopefully, I'll have a Steinway concert grand in my home one day

• Steve Miller Band My all-time favorite performer of ANY genre is Steve Miller--he's the best as far as I'm concerned. AND he's from Dallas! The Joker's Ball Tour is awesome. • Led Zeppelin Speaking of rock 'n roll, you can't get much better than LZ. By the way, I think Stairway to Heaven is the best rock song ever written
• Aerosmith These guys ROCK; they keep going and going with such Sweet Emotion
• Jimi Hendrix For some reason, some people are surprised that I listen to Jimi. Well, let me tell you, this Foxy Lady knows her guitar, and you can get the Ultimate Experience of Jimi info at the official web page.
• The Eagles Well, maybe there is a TIE for my favorite band. The Eagles' music is . . . superior. I don't see their music ever becoming unpopular, but even if it did, I would still rank them as the greatest. This site is cool. You can even learn to play their tunes on the guitar!
• Dire Straits If I were ever stranded on an island with only one c.d., Money for Nothing would be a great choice. These sultans, led by Mark Knopfler, can rock (or should I say swing?).
• Eric Clapton started out awesome and keeps getting better.
• Chicago is still doing it too. I wanted to see them so bad when they came to Dallas, but I didn't get a chance to. I'll catch them later, I guess.

• U2 has such a unique sound. They're great to listen to whether you're just trying to relax, cruising on a sunny day, or hanging out with your friends.
• Hootie and the Blowfish are one of the best bands around. I don't enjoy a lot of newer music because I think a lot of it sounds the same, but these guys are definitely an exception.
• Billy Joel You would never realize how many hits this guy had unless you sit down and think about it. Now do you remember? Just pop in a Greatest Hits CD, and you'll be singing along to some of the best songs ever written.

• Grease! I don't know what it is about Grease that makes it so cool. When you think about it, it's a pretty cheesy show. But I love it anyway. And who hasn't hand-jived in the shower? It's not just John Travola--HOTTIE ALERT--it's everything--the humor, the cars, and especially the music.
• The Sound of Music I have seen this musical about 500 times, and I still cry when Captain von Trapp sings Edelweiss at the festival. I LOVE this show!!!! And you guessed it, I can sing every song.
• West Side Story is another great musical. It's so realistic. This modern-day story of Romeo and Juliet is an example of how harmful gang activity can be. At the same time, it's so much fun. The dancing is great, and the music is unforgettable.
• My Fair Lady
This musical is a riot! I just laugh through the whole thing (unless I'm singing along). I think Eliza Doolittle is one of the most charming characters in theater.
• Annie I remember begging my mom to take me to this movie, and when she told me she would, I anticipated it all day. When I was little, I had little figures of the characters; I had the soundtrack, the sleeping bag, and even a huge Annie doll that my mom made for me complete with all of her outfits. This was my favorite movie in the world, and to this day, I still love it.
• Texas If you're ever in Amarillo, Texas, you have to stop by Palo Duro Canyon (it's beautiful) and see this musical. Even if you're not a Texan, it will be something you'll always remember. The canyon background is breathtaking, and the special effects used during a storm are awesome. In my opinion, it is one of the best attractions in Texas.

• Bon Jovi I realize that it's not the 80's anymore, and he is still making music, but when I think of Bon Jovi, I can't help but remember being in 4th grade and rushing out onto the skating rink whenever Bad Medicine came on!
• B-52s The B-52s are a great band. If you're in a bad mood, just pop in one of their CDs, and you'll be singing away.
• The Go-Gos are a truly 80's band, but my favorite Go-Go was Belinda Carlisle.
• Belinda Carlisle The first tape I ever bought with my own money was her Heaven on Earth tape, and I was so proud of myself for saving up the money to buy it. I would watch MTV every chance I got just to see one of her videos. I still love her music, and when I hear those old songs, it reminds me so much of when I was younger. I wish I could find that old tape!
• Madonna Yes, I know that Madonna is not just an 80's musician, but my favorites are the ones that I used to sing with my friends when we were in elementary school. Every time we went skating, we would make about 30 Madonna requests for Material Girl, True Blue, Who's that Girl, etc. Remember those?
• Huey Lewis and the News I fell in love with this band the first time I saw Back to the Future. I just knew I wanted to marry Michael J. Fox and listen to The Power of Love all day long!
• Cyndi Lauper Entire recess hours were spent sitting out on the merry-go-round singing our favorite songs, and many of them were Cyndi Lauper's. She is the epitome of an 80's rocker which makes her very cool.
