What is Chris doing now?

Well, right now is the summer, and I am working at the Movie Gallery, earning minimum wage. It's great...it's what I always wanted to do. When I have consecutive days off, I go home to visit my family in Winnsboro.

School is going to start soon, and I am excited. My schedule for the fall:

MWF

Engish 201

Hitler's World

Directing

Ethics in the Media

TTh

Makeup

Golf

I am living at these really crappy apartments, but it's all good. It's cheap for the location. Since I don't have a car, I have to walk everywhere, or find rides*. Other than that, I am just looking forward to getting back on the stage and acting and directing a one-act.

*thanks to Susan Tomko and Dawn Bigner(d)

Movie Gallery sucks ass! I was fired. So now I am living at "home" so to speak...my mom moved up to Commerce, so I moved in with her. It is even cheaper than the crappy apartments, so I don't mind so much. I am now dating someone...Susan Tomko. She's pretty cool, and has a lot of things in common with me. I think that is all that is going on right now.

Well, school is sucking right now! I am way behind in my History class. I was sick for a week, and couldn't go to class. I decided to call it quits for my PE class, because I have missed so many days that I don't know what is going on. But I digress...
I am involved with four shows right now: Noises Off, The Sleeping Beauty, The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr, and something else (I can't remember). I am acting in the first two, directing the third, and stage managing the fourth. It is a lot of work. I have basically no free time. But anyway, that is my life right now.

School's out for the semester! Got my grades back: Not too good. But at least I passed everything. Well, except Golf (what can you say?) I am really enjoying the time off, and hope to do more with this page since I will have some free time.

April 20, 1999 @12:40 AM

Susan and I broke up, so I am now a single man again! I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, because I will graduate in December. My 22 birthday is coming up real quick. Classes this semester aren't that great, but when are they ever. I am writing a story for my Creative Writing Class, and I will post it when I am done. And I am Scene Designer for the upcoming production of "Sand Mountain." That's about it.

June 7, 1999 @ 8:59 PM

I am now dating Jenn Cox, one of my previous girlfriends. I have another job for the summer. I will be working at the Commerce Journal. I start tomorrow, so we'll see how everything is going. I got my grades back, not too shabby, but I know I could have done better. That's it for this time.

August 6, 1999 @2:38 AM

Well, Jenn and I broke up in July. I have been transferred from the Commerce Journal to the Greenville Herald Banner. It's a pretty fun job. Well, it's money, right. One more semester to go!!!!! Whoo-Hoo!

September 17, 1999 @12:27 PM

I'm in between classes writing this. Classes are pretty good. Although, work and school at the same time suck! But I think I'm doing pretty good. I applied for graduation yesterday, and I'm getting more and more excited about it as the day draws nearer. Once I'm outta here, it's off to California to turn my dream into a reality. Anyway, I gotta write some more papers for class, so come back and see me again, soon!

December 4, 1999 @9:28 PM

It's been a pretty cool semester. I am about to graduate on December 18, and right now I am at a party at the Casa de Klong. It's pretty cool. There aren't very many people here right now, but there should be a lot of people here later on. I just wanted to write and say that I'll be graduating!!!!! Like any of you really care about what's going on with me. I don't think anybody is even reading this, but if you are, I thank you for seeing what is happening with me.

Frank and I have decided to move to Dallas. We are almost halfway there. We had four things that we definitly needed to do. They are (in no particular order): 1)Frank graduate 2)Chris find job 3)Frank find job and 4)Find apartment. Number 2 is down, all that is left are the other three, but I don't think it will be too hard. I got a job at a place in Plano called "AdPages." It should be a pretty cool job. But, we'll see what happens. Later.

Well, I'm living in Dallas now, Carrollton to be exact. It's pretty cool, with one small exception. I got a ticket this past weekend. Not for speeding, but for turning right on red when there was a tiny sign that said no right turn on red. Can you believe that? And if that wasn't enough, you know how much the ticket is? $159!!!!! That's more than going 20 miles over the speed limit's fine. It's ridiculous. But that's not the worst of it. The cop was right next to me. I saw him, but I didn't see the sign! Tell me, what moron would knowingly break the law with a cop right next to him! Now I know that ignorance is no excuse, but come on! I've never had a ticket before, my record is clean as a whistle, but could this cop give me a tiny break? NO. And why? Because it's the end of the month and this prick probably hadn't met his quota and so had to bust someone. And I tell you, he was trying really hard to bust me on a lot of things that day. I hate Plano. That's where the cop was from. AAARRRRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!

Good news folks! I recently auditioned for the WB (earlier this month to be exact). I got a phone call yesterday from the agency running the contest, to tell me that I made the final twenty! This Sunday the field will be narrowed down to the final ten, who will move on to the national audition. Hard work does pay off! Finally, after busting my ass and working hard, I am finally getting a break! I'll keep you guys updated on what happens.

October 30, 2000 @10:31 AM

Okay, last night I went to the Studio movie Grill to participate in the finals for the WB audition. I didn't win. Which is sad, but there is some good news! I was asked by the Campbell Agency to call them. So I am really excited about that.

Frank and I are moving right now to the Colony. It's not a bad place, but the neighbors all have little kids or something. But since I work at night, I probably won't see too much of them, hopefully. Anyway, that's what is going on right now.

Congrats to me! Yesterday I went to the Campbell Agency. Why, you may ask? Well, I went there to sign my CONTRACT! I now have an agent. That is one of the hardest things to do when you break into acting. It is the "foot in the door." So I am happy.

December 3, 2000 @10:46PM

I went to my first "professional" audition the other day. It went pretty well. It is for a commercial (I don't know if I can disclose the details). The casting director said that I was very energetic, which I think is a good thing, so we'll see if anything pans out with it. Call backs are this week, so I'll let you know if I make the cut.

January 8, 2001 @ 4:43AM

Well, eight days into the new year, and I am excited. I think that this year will be THE year for me. I don't know why, but I just have this funny feeling, you know? Anyway, I've found another place to go and hang out. It's Scooters in Carrollton. I go there on Friday and Saturday, so if you're in the area, stop in and say hey. Oh, I didn't make callbacks for that audition. No big loss, but it's experience, right?

August 1, 2001 @ 8:41AM

Frank and I moved this past May to somewhere near Carrollton (I'm not allowed to divulge the actual place). It's a pretty cool apartment complex. Me and my brother are in another band now. It's really fun. I have been messing around with Macromedia Flash 5 (I really recommend this to any graphics designer). To see a little flash program I did, Click here. Make sure you have FlashPlayer from Macromedia.com. That's pretty much all that is going on right now.
