Vegetarianism

The British Vegetarian Society used the word vegetarian for the first time in 1842.Vegetus means healthy / fresh or full of life (like in "homo vegetus" a mentaly and fissicaly strong person). The original meaning of the word sugests a phillosophical and moral balanced way of life. That is more than just eating only vegetables and fruits.

Vegetarianism is a essential step towards a better society. Thats why many people chose to be a vegetarian. People like: Pythagoras, Socrates, Plato, King Asoka, Leonardo da Vinci, Montaigne, John Milton, Leo Tolstoy, Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Schweitzer, Albert Einstein. They were all vegetarians!

Many people think that a vegetarian diet is bad for their health. The opposite is true!!
