SO, IT'S TIME FOR THAT COMMENTARY AGAIN...
Well, it's time. Martin's Top 30 is now officially closing its doors, and with almost sheer certainty will not be opened again. Some of you may ask why, and here are my reasons:
Lack of response. Apparently, practically no one has been noticing my chart page. If they have been, I haven't been getting feedback on it.
Lack of updates. For several reasons - schoolwork being the biggest - I've been doing the chart only once every two or three weeks. That just simply isn't right.
Wanting to focus on other areas of my chart page. Due to little time, the charts are the only things on my web page that I updated on a semi-regular basis. Now, I'd like to take my time to update other parts of the page. Revitalize it. Add new things, like picture pages and an online CD/book store.
The dearth of good programming on the radio. I listen to the radio, and 95% of the songs are utter crap. Given that, Martin's Top 30 would just turn into a chart of my favorite 30 songs that aren't on the radio. And the impact that would have would be slim to none.
So, that said, I'm shutting this page down. Frankly, the only thing that could bring it back up would be a HUGE influx of e-mails telling me to put the page back up. And even though that's not bloody likely, I'll give my e-mail anyways: mr006g@mail.rochester.edu .
And now, goodbye.
