Continued.... Kays words are coming along brilliantly, and she has been learning quickly how to use her potty.( something i don't want to rush). Gary and i are trying not to pressure her and let her learn in her own time but she's doing brilliantly so far. She also has a serious penchant for climbing, which has me at my wits end...i've been running about like a hot butted fly, trying to stop her. I used to climb a lot myself. I've been thinking a lot about how much of an age gap to leave between kay and her siblings, some people have said that 6/7 yrs that i had in mind is too long, and personally, i wonder if i could wait that long. I don't want to cause difficulties though with my studies, or have Kay going without the kind of things she has now because of the extra expense. I also don't want kayleigh to have no close sibling relationship though. It's been playing on my mind as i always had a close relationship with my older brother as a child, but my younger brother has no sibling near his own age. I have been thinking a lot about some of the stereotypes that young mothers face and have been writing a lot lately about this and other subjects so if you are interested check them out here. journal 2 May 6th Well i've had i'm seriously getting irritated with geocities as i've been having a lot of problems with my site, either things disappear or it won't let me alter anything. It may just be my puter so gaz is going to retape it for me, just incase. My little brother is in the cup final of the glasgow primary schools football cup. He played brilliantly in the semi yesterday and scored two goals, so i can't wait until saturday to see them ( hopefully) clinch the title. Today Kay was all dolled up for the first sunday in May, she was dressed in a salmon coloured satin dress, a white satin coat and bonnet and the cutest satin bonnet, she was absolutely adorable. I took Darren to Hampden which is scotlands national stadium to see the scottish claymores.( Scotlands american football team) play the berlin Thunders..we won 28/21 personally i don't trust a game without a round ball and 11 a-side..just kidding! He had free tickets from school but as most people know scotland is a soccer nation..and while i'm on the subject Celtic won the scottish premier league title. I bought Kay a Celtic football kit, but gaz was less than amused as he's a rangers fan..oh well hopefully kay will have more sense. On Friday due to lack of finances we had a uiet night in with a bottle of wine..but it was lovely. I can't believe that after 3 years we are still as much as love as ever. He's such a cookie. My links page will have to wait til gaz has the time to retape the puter but rest assured that your links will all be up again soon. I'm absolutely gasping to see if jennis little Emily has been born yet! I'm sure she has so good luck sweetie! My first year university exams are soon, this is my last week of uni for this year...Thank god! I'm counting the days til i can spend each and every minute with Kay. I actually should be studying but tomorrow is a bank holiday so i'm having a few beers and relaxing. aaaah bliss, Kay has been in bed since 8.00 pm. What did i do to deserve such a wonderful daughter. i'll update soon, love maz. May 9th. Well only 2 days until the end of semester, the weather is phenomenal and i've saved a fortune on bus and taxi fares by walking everywhere. The cherry and apple blossom on the trees is breathtaking, and kay is enamoured by the beautiful flowers that spray the gardens. It never ceases to amaze me when i see her childs outlook on life and nature, i was pointing out the various flowers and saying..aww look at the pretty flowers when we passed a rather drab almost flowerless garden, kays eyes lit up as she pointed and said ''aww another one mummy" and as i looked i saw a clump of dandelions. It struck me as sad that as an adult i've developed an eye for the grander areas of nature rather than the pretty ' weeds' that i adored as a child. She made me realise that sometimes we do not look close enough at the smaller miracles of gods creation. On monday i visited my sis in law tracey and had a chat out in the sunshine, My niece Megan is another cracker. She was playing on her wee roller blades when we decided to have a shot. It's years since either of us had a shot, and these ones were size 11 to 3, both of us are a size 4/5 so we crunched our feet into them and had a go, apart from the absolute agony we were lucky not to fall on our behinds. Our excuse is that they were too small, it was a good laugh and i'm looking for a way to get slim and svelte for all my summer clothes so maybe it's worth thinking of. Poor gaz had a fright last night as his granda has had 3 mild strokes, luckily i think he's going to be ok thank god, however it makes you think about the times that you could be visiting friends and family and can't be bothered. I'm picking up a chain i had specially made for kay tomorrow, it's a beautiful gold pendant of her name for special occasions, i decided to get it instead of a replacement bangle as the one she lost was never handed in and i feel if i buy something personalised i've got more chance of getting it back if it gets lost. I also forgot to mention that a friend of mine Angela is getting married in June..lucky thing. Her man is a bit older than her but who cares if they're happy. well thats my ramblings for another day. see ya.
