History

In Hillsboro, Illinois March 7, 1979 my Mom & Dad took their coupon to the hospital and came home with me. I don't really remember much of my childhood. The only thing I remember about Illinois, was the time I was sitting on the curb and watching the men pave the road in front of our house. Two old ladies came by and picked me up because they thought I was lost (or something like that). They took me to the fire department, where the firemen let me play in all their trucks and gave me a Snickers candy bar until my mom came and got me.

I remember spending a lot of time at my Grandparents house in Anderson, IN. Grandma and I would spend hours digging a hole in the backyard trying to get to China. We only got a foot deep every time but we had a great time together. My Uncle who lived nearby would come up and play war with me. We still do it to this day. It was cool.

Then we moved to Ohio where we lived for five years. Ohio was cool: climbing trees, shooting off rockets, and playing with my stampers. We rented a two hundred-year old school house, that seemed like a mansion to me. Behind our house was a ritzy club that we could have never afforded to be members of, but I always played over there anyway. Starting school, I remember running through the halls and thinking that I was Batman. The last two years in Ohio I went to a Christian school, where I had some awesome friends: Charlie, John, and Brain. Then dad got a job in TN.

I then found myself in third grade and in the redneck haven of Tennessee, where I hooked up with the Jason Calvert who would remain my friend off and on till present time. Over the next couple of years, I would become a friend with Brad Carter, and then, probably my best friend still today, Todd Lockett. In my eighth grade year, before I graduated and went off to high school, I completed my eagle project for the Norwood Boys Club. The project took the whole school year. I raised $1000, and built a playground. It was pretty cool for only being fifteen years old.

High school was cool! All my friends from middle school went to redneck schools while I paid tuition to go to Oak Ridge high school. They were some of the best days of my life: Big D (getting me through biology), the football games, last trombone chair for four straight years, Mrs. Johnson, Ms. Brown, The Home Skillets, Adam Cotton Eye Joe's, Church, Elizabeth, Frank & Joe, Melody, Josh, Rob, Frome, and senior trip. Then came time college for college.

Presently, I'm at the University of Montana. Montana is just an awesome place to live, and what a place to study forestry. I love to go do things in the outdoors with friends and there sure are a lot of things to do. And the winters aren't as bad as people think they would be. I'm also involved with InterVasity Christian Fellowship, which is a huge part of my life here at college, and have met some great people including my future roommates next year, Joe and Jeremy. Life is good!
