Serenity

The moon brightly shines

Above this place

Where the sun slowly falls

A calf calls out its cry to me

The crickets call out too

I see the leaves are changing now

Slowly in the break of autumn

Not a cloud in sight

And with all my might

I try to right

All the wrongs that I have done

The birds fly overhead

As the first stars appear

A bug lands on my paper

I send it on its way

As night falls

To bring in another day
