Which are better, CDs (digital compact disc) or LPs (long-playing record)

Jazz pianist Keith Jarrett complained "CDs lose the subtlety where expression lies".
Musician Neil Young lamented "digital was a disaster" and stated that digital music was "an insult to the brain and
            heart and feelings".

CD technology is now being supplanted by newer digital video disc (DVD) technology, with up to 17 times the
storage capacity of the CD, improved video capability, and better quality audio as well as MP3 and other digital
            technologies.

What is clear is that the meaning of quality varies drastically from person to person. It is left to each of us to
decide. What do we like best.

            What is Quality

David Gavin found that most definition of quality were either transcendent, product-based, manufacturing-based,
            user-based or value-based.
