ABOUT COYOTE ARM FILMS

Coyote Arm Films is owned and operated by James Anthony Portolese and Rene Besson.  Together James and Rene have made two feature length films together:  ‘boxes’ and ‘the decade’

With ‘boxes’, Rene took on the directing reigns, while James wrote and produced this film.  Boxes has truly touched a nerve with people who are trapped in the boxes of their lives.  It is a tale of being stuck, longing to break out, or merely settling for what life has to offer.

‘The decade’ is a true story about the dangers of fraternity hazing and it deals with a hell week that spins violently out of control.  James wrote, produced and directed the film, while Rene photographed and edited the film.  It is a dark, edgy story that needed to be told and audiences can not believe that these events actually took place.  A local college is the arena is which the story centers and no one is safe from its aftermath.

Coyote Arm Films is a fully functional independent film studio, complete with its own cameras, lights, editing equipment, sound design equipment and title house.  All of the work is done in house and not a single element of filmmaking is done by an outside company.

This freedom allows Coyote Arm Films to tell stories on their own terms, with their own equipment without any outside influences to slow down the rapid-fire production rate.
