Happy Birthday,
H. Sebastian Menrath!!!

How the years and the spoons pass by us all as quickly as H. Sebastian Menrath can fill another suitcase with spoons.

The 31st of July is a momentous day on the calendars of spoon collectors around the world. It is a day that all of us wait for with breathless anticipation.

We all know H. Sebastian Menrath's collection of spoons; but, this man . . . this giant amongst men . . . remains a mystery.

Who is H. Sebastian Menrath? We are all familiar with his collections and the contributions the spoons have made to world peace. Some of us are even aware of H. Sebastian Menrath's humble petitions on his own behalf to nominate himself for the Nobel Peace Prize and the Gemini award for best supporting actress in a dramatic television series.

Dejected but always blindly optimistic, H. Sebastian Menrath has retreated to his South Pacific island recently purchased with the profits from the sales of his Princess Diana Memorial Spoons. We can only imagine what plans he has for the future.

The traditional H. Sebastian Menrath Long Weekend will be celebrated across Canada (except in the provinces of Newfoundland and Quebec -- because they haven't figured out the spoon yet). Across the country, Canadians will be celebrating with their friends and families and spoons. On Sunday night, hundreds of thousands will gather in English Bay in Vancouver to celebrate H. Sebastian Menrath's birthday with a fireworks display. Some of them will even bring spoons to the event.

Thank you, H. Sebastian Menrath, for bringing peace and spoons to people around the world (except in Quebec and Newfoundland).
