Auckland airport 5:30 am
My journey through New-Zealand started with a 12 hour flight from the US to Auckland international airport. I wouldn't have mentioned it, but since I have a photo of the Auckland airport at 5:30am I just had to... Christchurch Cathedral
Now, the trip really started in Christchurch - the largest city in South Island with population over 500,000 people and no sheep what-so-ever. The interesting thing about Christchurch is that you don't have to go as far as NZ to see it. Just hop over to England - it looks the same. And the people of Christchurch are (for some unclear reason...) proud of it. So judge for yourself. Christchurch - The River Avon
I must say that if you ever get to Christchurch the only thing to remember is go to DEATH BY CHOCOLATE, a small cafe that you can guess for yourself what the whole menu is made of. To see Kaikoura section page 2 , page 3
