Mac Tips My List

  1. Always turn on and turn off your Mac correctly.
  2. Make an emergency startup disk using the disk tools.
  3. If you have removable storage, then create an emergency startup disk making sure to copy your CD ROM extension. This way you can do a clean install if you OS is on CD ROM.
  4. Backup often
  5. If you work with large files(Photoshop), instead of purchasing another 64MB of RAM, purchase a SCSI harddrive(>1GB) and use that drive as the primary scratch disk. This works wonders if your system already has 96MB or less of RAM.
