1. Make a startup disk in the Windows 95 environment and Dos environment. Make sure that the Dos startup disk has FDISK.EXE, COMMAND.COM, AND FORMAT.EXE as the bare files on this disk.
2. Always exit Windows correctly.
3. Always have a copy of your registry backed up.
4. Do not download and use beta releases unless you really want a headache and have a strong understanding of programming.
5. Backup often and delete unwanted files quickly.
6. Always download to removable media and always scan for viruses.
