Delta Phi Epsilon was formed "...for the purpose of promoting good fellowship among sorority women...to help...in aquiring knowledge, appreciation, discriminating judgement, and a true feeling of sisterly love, through the interaction, one upon the other, of sympathetic and friendly natures. It's objective is in the influence of its members on each other to achieve the liberal spirit, the habit of kindly judgement, to be unimpressed by the external displays of life, to care for our sisters because of what they are, not because of what they may achieve."
from the notes of our founders, 1917

Delta Phi Epsilon was formed in 1917 at NYU law school by five outstanding women, who we affectionately refer to as our DIMES.
