After WAS life kick started for me and i qualified in IIT-Kanpur...I went there, I saw and then i decided to re-appear and move to II-Bombay else i would have lost my hair-line within a few months leave alone 4 years. So next year i moved to IIT-B and exposure to life began in earnest.
During the first two years of my life there, I did everything except studying and it was worth the fun. Me, My friends, the movies, the beach...anyway, I became serious towards my academincs in the third year and finally managed in improving my GPA a bit (Dont ask how much) and graduated with an excellent thesis in 2000. After IIT, either it was job or graduate school. I decided to reject the job offers and i accepted the fellowship from Rutgers. It was a gamble with respect to the schools reputation as i had rejected some nicer schools, wrt the industrial placement of NJ. Thankfully the gamble payed off in my favour.
Life is Rutgers is one of the best years of my life. The research is good and so are the people. Have made some great friends and lifes just going great (touch wood) and i hope it continues to be so.
A Little about work... My real interest is in computer applications in chemical engineering and also software development. During my undergrads, I had extensively used JAVA and in my senior years managed to code down two potential commercial softwares, MPROSIM (A multi Purpose Simulator) and ESPRO (A thermodynamic tool). Cool huh ! Anyway, miles to go before i sleep..miles to go before i sleep

I love everything about computers and like to watch the technology advance. The best informative site for any computer user in my opinion is Tom's Hardware Guide. For a list of the fastest computers in the world (that we know about) you should check out TOP500 Supercomputer Sites. I basically love programming and during the course of my studies I have programmed extensively in C, C++ and Java . I also have avid interest in Graphics though due to my busy schedule, I havent been able to pursue that much.
I adore Movies in any way. I am a true Movie fan and I hardly miss out any movies be it english or hindi. You people wont beleive it, but I have even seen a tamil movie, Badeappa, a Rajnikant Hit movie, in the hall while not under standing a bit. If you want to see fundamental pics of film stars I recommend Indian Magic, though Indian Masala, is also good. My Favourite Heroine is Aishwarya Rai, She is just too beautiful. Have you people seen "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam or Taal" ?. For her Pics, Best of Ash and Ash's own site are good. To know about the top twenty Bollywood sites, Top 20 is a decent place. In the english movies, my favourite heroine keeps on changing but since I saw "crush", Alicia has been one of the favourites along with Cameron Diaz.
