Christ Catholic College

Christ Catholic College was established to provide a Catholic Education for young men and women.

The College, with over 1700 students in Years 7 to 12 and 160 staff, is situated on three separate campuses: the Loyola Campus at Mt Druitt, the St Agnes Campus at Rooty Hill and the Clare Campus at Hassall Grove.

The College aims to form well rounded young men and women who are intellectually competent, technologically skilled, open to change, reflective, loving and, above all, spiritual. The College strives to be a community that values justice, tolerance, respect, dignity, hard work, gospel morality, freedom of conscience and a Christian code of behaviour.

The Catholic ethos is central to the College and is shown in the daily living and witness of Christian values. Students study Religious Education and take part in the celebration of the Mass, liturgies, retreats and social justice programs.

The curriculum is shaped by two beliefs, which are fundamental to Catholic Education: The need to educate the whole person and the integrity of intellectual enquiry.

Some students have special needs. The College provides support for those with specific learning needs through its ESL and Special Education Programs and offers challenging courses and programs to extend those who are Gifted and Talented.

The College is committed to the holistic care of students. It has a strong pastoral care network, including a student counsellor on each campus and runs programs that allow students to develop skills to live effectively in the world beyond the College.

Student leadership and responsibility are encouraged. In addition to campus leadership programs, there are captains, house captains and a Student Representative Council on each campus.

There is an extensive co-curricular program on each campus. Students are given the opportunity to be involved in both school and inter school sporting programs, public speaking and debating, performing and visual arts programs, academic competitions and social justice activities.

Formal parent-teacher interviews occur once a year and parents are encouraged to contact teachers if they have concerns. Newsletters, notes, departmental letters and reports are sent home regularly to keep parents informed.

The Parents and Friends Association meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm at the Loyola Campus.

School fees of approximately $1200 per student are set by the Parramatta Catholic Education Office. In addition there are enrolment fees, subject fees and resource charges. There is a sliding scale of fees for families with two or more children attending systemic Catholic Schools.

College Crest
Christ Catholic College was establiahed in 1999 through the amalagation of Loyola College, Clare Catholic High School and St Agnes High School. These three schools have forged together as one to provide a unique educational experience for the students of the Greater Mount Druitt Area.

The College name hearlds our philosophy of education.

Christ - Our Role Model

Catholic - Our Values and Purpose

College - Our Committment to Education

The crest was designed to reflect this vision. The circle encompassing the crest is representative of God, an eternal circle surrounding and protecting us on our journey through life.

The cross is a sign of hope and life for all Christians. It is red in colour to remind us that our actions and observances need to be based on emotion, in particular love.

The waves symbolise our journey through life and the tricampus structure of the College.

The gold set against a black background is to highlight the Christian paradox of light from darkness, hope for the hopeless and life from death.
