General
Responsibilities |

|
- assists
the school head in seeing
to it that the
vision/mission of the
school is properly
understood and a sincere
effort is made by all
concerned to attain them
- organizes
and supervises the
activities of the
department; plans and
carries out
educational/development
programs and policies as
prescribed by the DECS
and in accordance with
the school's vision/mission
- supervises
the instructional program
and coordinates all
efforts of the department
in conducting an
effective teaching
learning process towards
the achievement of
academic excellence
- promotes a
program of continuing
studies and research for
the development of the
academic program and
human resources.

Specific
Objectives |
|
|
- together
with the head
teachers/coordinators,
interprets to teachers,
students and parents the
school's
vision/mission goals and
objectives.
- recruits
faculty members and
process admission of
students in consonance
with the DECS and the
school's policies
and regulation
- prepares
and recommends to the
director the assignment
of teachers and the
salary commensurate to
their total work load
- recommends
the hiring, termination,
discipline and promotion
in rank and salary of the
faculty
- recommends
to the director, after
due process, disciplinary
action for both students
and teachers.
- initiates,
recommends and implements
development programs of
the school and promotes
faculty and student
welfare
- approves
schedule of classes and
student activity programs
in coordination with the
head teachers and subject
area coordinators
- supervises
and rates the performance
of the administrative
staff as well as the
faculty and the
non-teaching employees
under her charge
- recommends
to the director for
approval, textbooks,
references and other
instructional materials
- conducts a
regular administrative
staff and general faculty
meetings
- prescribes
the provision and
maintenance of an
effective learning
environment thru a
sustainable facilities
development program in
coordination with the
physical plant supervisor
- prepares
and submits to the
director the
department's Annual
Program Budget Proposal
- supervises
routine clerical and
office work and maintains
adequate records
essential to good school
supervision
- cooperates
with the director,
faculty and students in
instituting the
school's community
Extension Program
- performs
other functions as may be
assigned to him/her by
the director the BOT
