National Institute of Expressive Therapy

1 YEAR ONLINE PROGRAM IN EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY

The focus of the 1 year program in expressive arts therapy is on the use of more or less traditional arts. The primary emphasis is on intrapersonal dynamics.

The Institute may accept up to 5 transfer credits from appropriate institutions or special programs. At least some prior or ongoing exposure to genuine arts activities and/or expressive arts therapy is recommended, but this should not be taken as a substitute for understanding how and why these work therapeutically. Students can enter the program at any time. 10 hours of online, video, or onsite instruction equal 1 credit. Students are expected to complete a total of 50 outside hours (reading, research, etc.) for every 3 credit course. A minimum 2 day residency at a conference or other event where Institute courses are offered is suggested where feasible.
