 Ballroom dancing
I've been dancing for 3 years now and I can confidently say that
ballroom is my favorite hobby. I devote my free time to practicing and training with my partner and with the Dancesport D.C Formation Team. I am currently preparing for competitions coming up in November. Visit my ballroom page to learn more about my dancing!

Sewing NEW!
I started sewing in February 2001 when my parents bought me a sewing
machine. Since then, I have not stopped sewing. I have made alterations
on some of my clothes and on used dresses that I've turned into
ballroom costumes. Recently, I have designed and made my own Latin
costume. I'm currently working on Latin pants for my best friend. It's
so much fun!

Reading
Reading has always played an important role in my life as a learning tool or as pure entertainment. I am especially fond of fiction because it transports me into a different new world. Among my favorites are "Jane Eyre," "Ethan Frome," and "The Silence of the Lambs."

Listening to music
I love music but I get into cycles. Lately, I've been more into standards
and smooth jazz. My favorite song right now is Killing Me Softly by Roberta Flack. My favorite station: 105.9FM. It's slick, chic, smooth
and it's got the groove! :) |
Making this web page
There used to be a time when working on this web page was a
passion. Well, that has changed, I must say. Since I have my mind
elsewhere, I forget to keep this page updated. Of course, I do come back
once in a while to make additions or just visit my cozy little world
for some words of inspirations (see front page for daily quote).

Watching Movies
I am a big fan of good-quality entertainment. Basically I remember movies that not only move me and touch me, but also have a lasting impression on me. For example, I just haven't been able to forget movies like "Amadeus" (my ultimate favorite), "Schindler's List," and "The Silence of the Lambs." My regret is that I didn't live early enough to have been able to see the greatest classics of the American cinema. It will therefore be my task to watch them on video in the coming months! :-) | |
Daydreaming
When I'm in the bus or just listening to a boring lecture, daydreaming is
really fun thing for me. I have my own little world in there. It's quite
nice coming to the palace of dreams.

Writing love
poems
I'm nuts about romantic things and I think that poems are a really
wonderful way of adding a touch of romance to one's life. Love poems are
beautiful way of opening up one's heart through words. And one doesn't
really have to be a poet to be able to compose them. |
