I love the idea of this website! I think I'm the first person from Trip 6 to sign in. We'd like to start meeting with those of you who have completed the class to get some good advice! How do I/we get on "the list?" Our class may meet this Friday night th 15 Oct. 99 at Ledo's on Rte.7 after class. Can anyone join us? We missed the notice on the last social...Has the next one been planned?

I always thought Kay was one of the greatest factors at NVCC. Dr. Haverkamp always had a great sight for the future, and was never scared to break from tradition. I know from talking with her that she thought this was one of her greatest achievements for he students at NVCC, and for the companies that interact with NVCC. She was a great asset to NVCC, and the community at large, and keeping this program alive and well will assure her place with us. To all those who supported her, Thank You ----Joseph Wink

Hi, fellow T.R.I.P. 'ers... I wanted to commend the author of this page's latest work. -Very good work it is, indeed! My latest news is the completion of a project I started in November. I am sitting in my comfy living-room chair with my laptop computer whilst accessing the internet via Linux and IP masquerading in the other room! This is the result of donnet becoming a live lan with gateway access to the web, mail and news. Best wishes to all previous, present and future T.R.I.P. members. Keep up the good work! -Don

For all who are concerned, I am pleased to announce that "donnet" is alive and well. After countless re-installs of the _unnamed_ operating system, and learning a thing or two about i/o addresses, it was the final $65.00 for new equipment that made it come alive! Now we just have to learn how to make Linux join in without having to buy a Cisco router.

I'm an alumnus of TRIP I, the Beta version. Looking at your calendar, it appears that some very thoughtful and beneficial changes have been made to the program, and it was an excellent program to begin with. After graduating from the TRIP program, I star ed to REALLY study.... I know it sounds ludicrous but the MCSE certification course is even more intense than TRIP ! I've passed 3 of 3 exams with 3 to go, and am already making more money on a part-time basis than I did working 60 hr. weeks in my previo s itteration. All this to say keep working, it's worth it if you persevere. Feel free to e-mail if I can help in any way. Good Luck to all... Jim

Loving every minute. My only regret is not getting into this 10 years ago. No, make that fifteen years ago, that way I would have avoided the jail time.

Good people of TRIP 3: We could probably get in trouble heading the site NVCC Cont. Ed. because it's really not a college site but a TRIP class site. Maybe if you changed the page around a bit so that it's not construed as an official NVCC site (we coul get in trouble with the "official" site (which is a dull and rather tiresome affair, unlike yours). Put your heads together and see if "we" can come up with something that's clearly a TRIP product, if you get my drift. And keep up the good work, y'all! Pete

Hi, I'm from Trip 2. I'm impressed with your effort! A couple of suggestions--check your spelling at the end of your statements about Trip. I understood from Pete that there was a possibility of a page going to be set aside for Trip 2. Is this correct? Is someone developing it or do you need help from a neophyte? Let me know. Thanks, Don. Susan

Glad to see someone started this. I know zip about building web sites, but am glad for the opportunity to jump in. Here are some suggestions: TRIP needs to be spelled out; Need something short, succinct, and attention-getting about what TRIP is on the ront page with a link to another page that provides more information - maybe this could be a link to something already existing at the NOVA site. Also may be a list of current corporate partners with links to thiir sites. I don't know to what extent we can list or provide any other info on exiting TRIP participants or alumni, due to privacy considerations. This may not be an issue, but we need to talk to Pete. If individuals voluntarily provide info for this pupose, it may be OK. See you tomorrow.

Way to go Don! It looks great...and as soon as I can figure out how to work on the webpage I'll do it. I do have some background in art and graphics (in fact I created the logo for that local software company I worked for, check it out if you get time.. ) so maybe I'll fiddle around on the comp. for a while and see if I can come up with any ideas for a Trip 3 logo. GO PHINS! (and Skins too if they ever get their act together!)

Hey Don, I think it looks great. Would like to make some suggestions before making changes. How about: - A link back to the NOVA homepage? - have a different section for each TRIP iteration? - Spell out what TRIP stands for on the TRIP homepage so if other NOVA students want to take a look they will unders what TRIP stands for. - as a class maybe we could all come up with a logo for TRIP 3? Again, looks great Don. Have a good weekend. GO SKINS! Dave Rodgers

O.K. Folks, we've got 11 Megs to fill up! Our marching orders from Mr. White were to use this site as a center for communication between T.R.I.P. members and alumni, and as a place to check announcements. I think we can do all of that and be a little creative, too. I'll distribute the password so that every one can leave their "mark" here. -Don
