SITE GUIDE

The "shiny" buttons on the left --, are links which break my webpage up into it's relevant sections.
To go to a particular section, just click on the relevant button. A list of the contents of that section will open up under the title. To go to any of the subsections just click on them. In order to close the list again, just click on the blue button which has appeared --.
To get back here at any stage, just click on my beautiful mug at the top left of the screen.

Below is a short description of what is in (or should be in!) each of the sections - Sportscience, Philosophy, C.C.C., C.H.C, HTML and Links.

'Sportscience' & 'Philosophy' - are reflections of my College career so far. I have a BA in Philosophy from University College Dublin, and a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of Limerick, including a semester of work experience in Noll Physiological Research Center, Penn State University, Pennsylvania, USA - that's my ID card above...

Most of the links on the site are spread around in their relevant sections (ie the Sportscience links are in the Sportscience section) *shock*, but there are some weird and interesting links in the "Links" section.

Have fun, mail me with any comments, suggestions, abuse etc at:

And seeing as how you're here, you may as well sign my guestbook

SPORTS SCIENCE

To the Sports Science cave, Batman......

Not content with one years montessori, eight years junior school, six years secondary school and three years undergraduate study of Philosophy, I have undertaken another undergraduate degree, this time a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise courtesy of the
Sports Department of the University of Limerick.
I seem to have spent forever in education. As one of my classmates says:
"I reckon that if you keep on moving in the circle that you are moving in you might end up in a half decent job next year - or do you still want to do that arts degree in 'tangeable time of the sub-space continuum as experience by psychiatrically imagined mice'? you're not getting any younger you know." - Franklin '99
"Any chance of some insulin now? You promised." - Ibid

Like I say, I am currently completing a 4 year BSc in Sports and Exercise Science.
Here's the blurb from the departmental profile...

"The Sport and Exercise Science programme in the University of Limerick is a multidisciplinary degree providing the student with an in-depth study of physiological, psychological, biomechanical and applied aspects of sport and exercise. The first cohort of students from this programme graduated in 1997. The undergraduate programmes continue to gain wider recognition with several students from Europe opting to study at the University of Limerick as part of the ERASMUS/SOCRATES programmes. Students from the department also gain experience abroad through an exchange programme with Slippery Rock University, Pennsylvania, USA and via co-operative education placement within Institutes of Sport Science in Europe, Scandinavia, Australia and South Africa. Applications for these programmes remains buoyant and attracts candidates of the highest calibre with one student, Kathryn Quinn, receiving the Howmedica prize for the highest points (640) at the Leaving Certificate in 1996."

...at least, that's what THEY say.

Philosophy

Being a B.A. (Hons Phil), I feel that it is my duty to bore the tits off as many people as possible, for as much time as possible.
To that end here is a copy of my final year project (minithesis) from the Philosophy department in
University College Dublin entitled
"Bell's Theorem - The Philosophical Implications of Quantum Theory".
At the moment this is in the form of the final draft which I handed up - not exactly an interactive multimedia experience! When I get time I'm gonna improve the presentation.
I might even put in some moving pictures (aren't I great).

Anyway, Click on the 'Philosophy' button on the left to go see my minithesis, and to find links to other Philosophy on the 'Net.

Clontarf Cricket Club

I am hoping to start to put together some details about Clontarf Cricket Club. Hopefully I will get a Homepage up shortly, based here and with a link from the CricketWeb Ireland site, but till then, here is my link to the best (only!) place on the web for Irish cricket...

Clontarf Hockey Club

Ya just have to love them.
They let me call myself
-WebMaster-, and let me play hockey with them (most weeks), even though I live in a different province. What can I say?
Go see.
And, Come, Play.

AS always, click on the button to go see the page. This time it says 'C.H.C".
