The Pleasure Island Music Festival 5 K race was a favorite with many runners during the late 80's and early 90's. It was held the Saturday morning of the Pleasure Island Music Festival in Port Arthur, an event that drew large numbers of people to come out and see popular entertainers sing and perform.
