A short lived race that was only held for three years, it was started by Gaylon Dunaway, an accountant in Winnie and former member of the Sea Rim Striders Running Club. It was held in 1986, 1987 and 88 in conjunction with the Winnie Rice Festival, a popular event still held today.

The course was measured Aug 14th 1988. The actual race was held on Oct 1, 1988.

2 Mile

Start--Intersection of Magnolia and 5th Street,               facing West

1 Mile--3' from second pine tree east od driveway on FM 1406, Box 208 on mailbox

2 Mile--Intersection of IH 10 feeder Rd and 9th Street.

3 Mile--Intersection of 5th and Cypress Street, 12' south of telephone pole.
