Hi. It's Ralph.
I still live at the same address: Ralph D'Andrea
Where am I now? Sitting on my ass in front of the computer. Which I seem to do all day every day. From 1975-1994, I worked in various capacities for a Department of Energy contractor, first in Casper, Wyoming, then here in Grand Junction. I started life as a geologist, then rode a desk as head of a computer mapping department (still a geologist), computer security manager, then when I got too old and expensive, was assigned to develop new projects for the Vice President of Strategic Planning. When I got REALLY old and expensive, I was "downsized". (Actually, the Energy Department wanted to close the office and didn't like us bringing in $20,000,000 a year in new business so they laid off my boss and me.) I had always wanted to start my own business, so I took the opportunity and the severance pay and started my own consulting biz. I do a bit of network management, a bit of web design, and a bit of political consulting. "Willfully Underemployed" as my wife calls it. Speaking of my wife, Cheryl is my second, but a "keeper". We'll be married 18 years next week. I sent a pic. She's from Jersey, but I met her here in Grand Junction. Go figure. I raised her daughter Jenny, now 27 and living in Denver, and we had one of our own--a Tasmanian Devil wannabee named Carina, now 17. I sent a pic of them also. Jenny was getting a Master's in business that day. Carina has now stopped running her car into things. I enjoy flyfishing. And hearing from old friends.
