In 1989, a temporary building was established to start the activity of the center whilst finishing the main building. This temporary NECTR consists of :
A
ward of 8 beds for management of acute cases.
A pharmacy having all common antidotes/ drugs & equipments used for
treatment
of such cases.
A toxi-lab. for analysing poisons and drugs of abuse.
A research lab. with a GC/MS.
Information unit (phone calls) and a library.
The main building(2000 m2) was finished last year. It contains many labs., intensive care unit of 32 beds, a reception for acute cases, an internal ward, a conference & meeting room, an animal house & a cafeteria. It will be opened officially in 2002 after being equipped and furnished.
