The Twenty Pearls Foundation, Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 2006 by the members of Tau Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated in East Point, Georgia as a non-profit arm for service.
The Twenty Pearls Foundation, Inc. along with Tau Epsilon Omega Chapter is dedicated to providing service to the community.
One very important way that we strive to achieve this is through our scholarship progam. Proceeds from the annual "A Hush Affair"
Silent Auction and Luncheon will fund college scholarships for young men and women in the South Fulton area.

The Twenty Pearls Foundation, Inc. annually bestows the Doris J. Harris Humanitarian Award,
established in honor
of beloved Tau Epsilon Omega chapter member Doris J. Harris (1926 - 1997), to individuals that exemplify community service and commitment to the betterment of mankind. The 2008 Doris J. Harris Humanitarian Award recipient was Mr. Dan Sims.
Dan Sims is the Principal of Paul D. West Middle School in his native community of East Point, GA. Under his leadership, Paul D. West Middle School was recently honored for making Adequate Yearly Progress
for three consecutive years, giving them the distinction of Title I Distinguished School.
Active with many educational boards, Mr. Sims' service to civic and community organizations include: Youth Minister, song leader, and teacher for the pre-teen class for the Simpson Street Church of Christ;
Service Chairperson for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Omicron Phi Lambda Chapter of East Point; and Coach and faithful member of the Southwest YMCA.
Believing that through the power of words, he can reach the youth and the
community, Mr. Sims regularly speaks at various schools and churches, delivering
messages of hope, inspiration and purpose in every arena. His life's mission is
"to influence people to discover the best in themselves and fight to utilize it in all they do."
