I'm still on AOL but you can't send mail to me unless you're on my "Damn I'm cool list!" Actually, since AOL is notorious for making it insanely easy for people to sign-up it's members for junk mail, the only way around it is to make a list of people that CAN send you mail. Great for me, but whenever I try to get letters or files from people I don't have on my list, usually AOL Tech's, they get all bitchy because they can't send me e-mail. I just say, "Look here, BOY! Just send the mail to Zoso2127@Mailexcite.com. Don't get all fussy, alright?"
P.S. Wanna know a great way to get help from an AOL Tech without waiting? Wait once, when the wait time is really small, like a minute or so, Then when you get to the little chat thing with the tech. put their name on your buddy list in a new folder, and name it "Tech's" or something like that. You might have to do it a couple of times to get a good list of Tech's. Then, later, when the wait is really long, just look and see if any of the tech's on your list are signed on, then just send them an Instant message. IT'S GREAT! I get help all the time now. And if you're really bored, you could just start asking a Tech a non-technical question. They hate that. A great one is "Hey, do you know why AOL's browser is so bad?" Don't say "AOL's browser SUX!" They get mad at you far that. Just be creative.
