I am pleasantly surprised to see many familiar names of former A.K.B.S. students listed on-line. Back in Dar, I was the lead-guitar player and vocalist of a band called, The Satan Bugs. As some of you might recall, the band frequently held concerts at th school's fabulous music/theater hall, up until at least the end of 1969. Incidentaly, I still crank-up my guitar every now and then! Congratulations to the person responsible for brilliantly designing this site to help locate old friends dispersed worldwide after the Ismaili exodus from E. Africa. Reunion Comments:: 10weeks have passed but the nostalgia and feeling of spiritual elation still remains. Inshallah it will remain forever.

Should we put personal profiles? No brag just facts.: Yes, sometimes it is difficult to stop people going overboard. A sincere appeal to everyone is to keep the objectives of the reunion in mind and try not to offend.
This site does not allow any advertising for personal gain: I beg to differ or at least throw in another opinion. If somebody has something to offer which will be of benefit to others, it should be allowed. We did some networking during the reunion and that should be promoted. A suggestion that full disclosure should be made. If anything is offensive or overboard, Mohamed Jiwa who is our gatekeeper to the site can filter it!

Unfortunately, only 6 0r with the teachers, 8 people have responded. We do know that everyone is really busy. It would be a mistake to let go of the special feeling that we were able to demostrate in Calgary. Life is too short and all of have to depart, w y not have something to take with ourselves.

As I previously noted "WHAT A PARTY! WHAT A BLAST!!Ya Ali Madad to you all, I have had lots of fun in the last few years but nothing compares to the last weekend. I can not describe in words what I have been through. The emotions were running high, all the singing (songs from the scouts, jeshi, schooldays, etc.) - songs that brought back big memories, the joking, the dancing, Father Peera (we were all blessed - I hope for the better!), Zul's powerpoint presentation, Zauhar sharing his big time experiences. We all shared many old memories. Trying to sleep at night has become difficult as thousands of old and new memories race through the mind - but it is a great feeling. Thanks to the teachers, including your families for coming. I feel sorry for those who did not or could not attend. They can never appreciate what they missed. Once again, thanks from Navin, Rahim and myself to everyone who participated, specially those that came from outside Calgary. A special thanks to all your families who supported you. God bless you all."

Reunion Comments:: it was an incredible experience. it was great to see all those who came and especially for those late night chats with the guys who stayed up.we eed to think of different ideas for the next one which has to be better than the last one, though the first one is always very special for all. What would you like to see on our website?: Profiles and pictures of everyone concerned with the class of 1968 including their families. Regular updates which are announced when they occur.
