Piping Dictionary

Thank you for taking the time to look at this web-page. The intention of this Piping Dictionary is to capture your interest in a 'simple task' in hopes that you will participate. The 'simple task' is to define a dictionary of piping parts which works for the major US shipbuilders and the US Navy. To participate, all you need to do is send an e-mail to me (Rob Schuler) or contact the Marine Machinery Association. Input that is needed includes:

  1. Better definitions for the terms in the dictionary.
  2. Suggestions for new terms to add to the dictionary.
  3. Suggestions for ways to organize the dictionary to better serve you.

This dictionary has been evolving over the past 6 months, and has been released in several forms and stages. I still have not figured out the best way to distributed the current dictionary and to collect reviewer/user comments. The most recent version of the Piping Dictionary was released on April 17, 1998, and features some cool interactive web stuff. Any comments that you have to help in defining this dictionary will be greatly appreciated.
