Who am I?

My name is Roy Rajan. I reside in Springfield, PA (a Philadelphia suburb) and am currently a medical student at Temple University. I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor's degree in Biology.

Hobbies and Interests

My hobbies and interests include writing, science & health, computer programming & design, watching television, and playing (and watching) basketball, hockey, and football.  I also enjoy drawing from time to time and singing.  I am a member of Temple Med's acapella group, The Transplantations. Recently, I’ve been partying a lot and chillin’ with buddies from school.

Family

My family is very important to me. I belong to a middle class family that has been living in the Greater Philadelpia region for over 20 years.  My father is a supervisor at M. Cardone Industries, an automobile parts remanufacturer.  My mother is a Registered Nurse at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  My brother is in his second year at Drexel University. He is currently majoring in Computer Science. My mother’s family basically lives in various places throughout the US, while most of my father's side is still in India. I go back to the motherland every 3 or 4 years to see them.

Friends

I wouldn't say that I have any "best friend", but my closest friends attend my church, St. Peter's Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church in Northeast Philadelphia.  I have also made a number of friends from school.  Links to some of their sites are in the links section on the left.
