ADMISSIONS ( For Pakistani Students )
Information on Applications for admissions can be obtained from K.E.M.C or by an advertisement through the press. Only residents of Punjab and Federal Area shall be eligible to apply for admission in any Medical Colleges in the Punjab. No application for admission will be considered unless fully made out on the prescribed application form by the candidate in his own handwriting. Merit lists prepared once prepared shall be final. Applications from the candidates must be accompanied with photostat copies of the certificates and attested by proper authority (High School certificate, Birth certificate, NCC certificate, Character certificate of F.Sc., BSc,. of the college last attended). Copies of detailed marks certificate of F.Sc ,/BSc , of the Board of Intermediate and Two attested photographs(Passport size )

ADMISSIONS ( For Foreign Students )
Candidates belonging to the Punjab province and Federal Capital Area who have qualifications equal to intermediate (Pre-Medical) in the subjects of Physics , Chemistry and Biology ; and English , and one other language , if studied can apply for admission. Only those qualifications that have been declared equivalent to F.Sc (Pre-Medical ) by the relevant University for admission to the Medical colleges in the Punjab will be considered.

INTERVIEWS AND SELECTION
  The candidates will be selected by the Admission Board comprising the Principals of the medical colleges in Punjab. If considered necessary the Admission Board may call any candidate for interview. Selection and admission is usually made strictly on the basis of F.Sc/B.Sc , examinations .
THE SELECTION PROCESS FOR ADMISSION
F.Sc , (Pre-Medical Group ) External A&B grades , 60% marks or above.
B.Sc with F.Sc , (Pre-Medical Group ) 60% marks or above.

SOME IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR WORKING OUT MERIT FOR ADMISSION
          The following marks shall be added in total marls of the candidates in order to prepare the final merit list :-
Twenty (20) marks shall be added for National Cadet Corps Training for a person who has completed the training .
Twenty (20) marks will be added for being a Muslim Hafiz-e-Quran , subject to verification of the same by a committee constituted , by the admission Board.

   PROCEDURE FOR SELECTION
The Chairman , Admission Board will get prepared only one merit list of candidates , irrespective of the sex of the students , for selections for admission to MBBS course.The Chairman shall be competent to rectify any errors of omission or commission found in the merit list at the time of selection of candidates.
The Admission Board will make selection from the merit list . The selection of the candidates against the general merit seats shall be made according to merit and allocation of colleges shall be made after giving due consideration. After the merit selection is over the selection against the specially reserved seats for doctor's children will be made from the special merit list for this category of candidates . Lastly , the selection for the seats on reciprocal basis will be done on merit from the remaining candidates on the integrated merit list . These 15 candidates will be asked in writing for their preference of the college of other provinces after they are selected.
