Running for State Office
The Georgia Association of Nursing Students 52nd Annual State Convention will be held on October 14-16, 2004 at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.  Every year during convention, new officers are elected for the following year.  Now is the time to start thinking about representing the State of Georgia and its Nursing Students! The last day for pre-slating is September 10, 2004.

Here are some advantages of being a pre-slated candidate:

All your paperwork and qualifications will be reviewed and completed before
     start of convention.
You will have the opportunity to announce your candidacy on the GANS webpage.
You will be able to campaign before the start of convention once the ballot has been
     released.
Priority announcement of your candidacy in the House of Delegates.
Priority table selection at Campaign Headquarters during convention.

By becoming a GANS officer, you will represent Georgia and nursing students throughout the state. I urge all nursing students and chapters to become involved. You can make a difference!

If you have any questions, please contact me, Malisa Holmes, Nominations and Elections Committee (NEC) Chair.
