COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES
Harvest also offers various community service opportunities for those students who have the time to help out. Here are some of the ones we have plus a brief description of them.
MOPS
The first and third Tuesday of each month MOPS (Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers) meet. This is a group that provides the young mothers with support and assistance. We provide child care for the kids so that the mothers can focus all there attention to the group.
SCHENECTADY YOUTH FOR CHRIST
Schenectady Youth for Christ have weekly after school meetings held at inner city schools. Kids get together for sports, positive peer interaction, relationship building with positive role models.
ALBANY RESCUE MISSION
We take a responsibility to put on an evening program...complete with preparing (and perhaps working on) facilities, menu, food preperation and service, and an evening meeting or activity.
