InterVarsity Christian Fellowship began at the University of Cambridge, England back in 1877. Over 120 years later, there are now more than 700 chapters of InterVarsity across the country.

The United States chapters, along with other student groups in over 100 countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Singapore, make up IFES. IFES (The International Fellowship of Evangelical Students) literally stretches around the world.

The vision of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is encompassed in many areas, such as:
