Ah yes... The road trip. College is no fun without its journeys to the middle of nowhere. A suggestion for you freshmen - When times are dull and there are no parties to attend, pile on in to your roommate's VW bug and just... drive. Just remember, If you're on I-5, you're not going to find much. At least 50 and I-80 lead you somewhere.

• Lake Tahoe - the slopes, the lake, the slots... what's not to like?
• Reno - Where gamblers and cheap unite... hey, 99 cents for a breakfast at Cal-Neva!
• San Francisco - Whether you're heading out to a Giants game or just hitting the town... this place has it all.
• Bezerkeley - What an odd litlle town. Hippies never die here, they just grow older.
• Santa Cruz - Grab your bikinis and hit the beach! The hell with those Friday classes!
