Dark skies
Pouring rain
The bad guys thought
They could get away.
Three figures hiding
In the shadows nearby
Can they stop these guys?
They can at least try.
Tommy looks at his brother
Trent looks back
Carlos quietly pulls a gun out
From under a plastic sack.
Waiting for Trent's signal
When it finally came
Tommy realized that after this
His life would never be the same.
Alicia crept through the shadows
Trying to get home
Not knowing what was going on
Or expecting what was to come.
Suddenly someone grabbed her
Held a gun to her head
Both she and Tommy knew
If she made a move she was dead.
Trent tried to talk to him
But to no avail
He shoved Alicia down and shot her
Then ran off with Carlos on his tail.
Tommy ran to Alicia
With Trent waiting nearby
He held her in his arms
And then began to cry.
Alicia knew this was it,
She was about to die,
She reached up and kissed Tommy,
And whispered, "Please don't cry."
"I'll always be with you,
Just don't forget,
And tell my sister what happened,
Then give her my science test."
Tommy said, "I'll do it,"
Then kissed Alicia goodbye,
Alicia whispered, "I love you,"
Then went limp and closed her eyes.
