This past spring was not one of our best rushes. We had started the semester
with 3 canidates, and ended up with one new member. Brad Marshall was able to
stay through it all and showed that he is a worthy canidate. Hopefully we can
learn from this semester and make the rest of the rushes better by not making
the same mistakes again. Too Brad though welcome to the bonds of Theta Xi.

Gamma Rho has a busy summer ahead. We are going to be more than ever rushing incoming freshman and working on some fundraisers is Kansas City. We also plan on being in attendance at the National Convention, plus going on a float trip in mid July. We also have plans to have a rush table set up on the weeks of Freshman Oreintation at Missouri Western.

Well their isn't enough words in the world to say enough about Brian Powell.
Brian is done with college and is moving on to work in Kansas City. As soon as I find
out more I will let you know. Powell has been a key factor in this chapters stability
and its growth through its short history. If you ever needed anything Powell was there
for you, if the "shit hit the fan", Powell was in there with you. He was the kind of
brother who would do anything for you. He is what we would say is 115% Theta Xi, and
now he is going to have to leave us and become a very valuable Alumni. Hopefully he
can work some magic on our Alumni Organization and get it on its feet too. Well, Powell
good luck and don't forget about your brothers at Gamma Rho.

Here at Gamma Rho we have decided to make road side clean up our Community Service. We
clean up twice a year, maybe more if needed, the intersection of HW 36 and N. Belt HW.
This year we cleaned this intersection twice and it looks great, especially from the
road. I am guessing that we collected almost twenty bags of trash over the year.

Here it is again, Gamma Rho's annual float trip. This year we are going on the Mermac. The trip is planed to happen over July 16-18 and we will travel about 8 miles. The cost per person will vary check below for prices.

Rush for the fall is going to be more intense than the past years. We have already made plans for the fall semester rush, and are making plans for summertime rushing. We are increasing our budget and are opening our minds to any suggestion on how we can become a stronger Chapter, and have a larger membership base. Details of the fall rush week are located here.

The National Convention this year is goning to be held in Kansas City at the Hyatt Regency. The dates are from July 29 thru August 1. We at Gamma Rho are blessed with athletes. In football we took first in greek competition, basketball not so well, Racquetball second place and second overall in the school, Hockey second in greeks, Softball we took second in greeks and overall in the school.
