About Me....

I was born in Littleton, Colorado, before it was famous for producing the makers of South Park and crazy people with guns (ok, ok, crazy people with guns that are underaged and shoot them at their classmates). While growing up, I spent time in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara, California and Maplewood, New Jersey. I would like to claim that I'm not a Jersey girl, but I make no promises. I have a father, a mother, a brother and a sister.

Mostly I'm just your average Jane... with a few quirks here and there.

I am currently a preparator at a natural history museum (I'm also involved in education and outreach activities there, as well as website design). In my spare time I enjoy traveling to natural spots to mingle with the local wildlife. I also like to produce stuff that I call "art" -- some of it is what others might refer to as "taxidermy." I have many other hobbies, however, most of them are illegal in at least portions of the United States and Canada, so I dare not speak of them.

I live with my loving boytoy, Perry, who is a currently a student. How we met: by sheer coincidence, we both became shipwrecked on the same small island off the coast of Baja, California during a terrible hurricane. After spending many days surviving off of a single bag of M&Ms and sharing a soggy sleeping bag together, the inevitable happened -- I went absolutely bonkers and thought I was a giant rat and attempted to eat Perry. Luckily for me, Perry thought it was an attempt at some hard-core kissing and he fell in love. Once we had returned to the safety of inland California, and after some considerable recuperation time in a local hospital, I began to return Perry's feelings (though I've never been sure that it isn't just pangs of hunger I feel when I see him). All right, now here's the real story: we met on Match.com.

I also live with Viggo, a fluffy cat, Choco and Nilla, two small birds, and Jet, my fast moving tortoise.
