Scholarship
Scholastic acheivement is a longstanding tradition at Alpha Delta Pi. Founder Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald set a goal to become valedictorian of her class and she reached her goal. "When I came here," she wrote, "I found among the girls but little disposition to read...Devoted to reading myself, it occurred to me that I might do something toward forming a society for mutual improvement." ("Greek and Alpha Delta Pi Timeline," Like Minded People) Our founders decided that education was a priority and that idea stands true today as well.

Our chapter has been very successful in our academic endeavors. Alpha Delta Pi ranked FIRST in All Greek GPA in Spring 1998 and Fall 1999. Our chapter GPA also exceeded the Campus All-Womens GPA in Fall 1999. In addition, Alpha Delta Pi has members in Order of Omega, the Greek Honor Society.
Alpha Delta Pi wants all of our sisters to succeed academically. Our Scholarship Programming gives us the tools to reach our highest potential. Following are components of the Scholarship Program:

Study Buddies
are members paired up by similar majors. Study buddies are great to study with, to get class recommendations and to bounce ideas off of.
Study Tables are pre-set meeting times for Alphas and members at a specified GPA. These provide an atmosphere conducive to study and ensure that our members maintain and improve their grades.

Weekly Incentives
are distibuted by the Scholarship Chair after viewing members' grades. These are a great motivator!

The Scholarship Banquet
is held every semester to celebrate our sisters' scholastic accomplishments.

Study Files
are updated often and contain useful resources for all fields of study.
Study Resources, including study tips and campus resources, are avaliable from the Scholarship Chair.
