Carolina Cutie

Carolina Cutie
no breed assigned yet
#57 early palomino
(w/snap saddle & o-link reins)

As you can tell, this "palomino" is really more of a gorgeous dark sorrel (I love her color!). She's definately the earliest Breyer I own. Based on the info I read in Nancy Young's "Breyer Molds and Models," I estimate that she was made around 1951. She has a matte (not glossy) finish, black hooves, snap saddle, o-link reins, and wonderful shading (you can't see her mane but check out her tail and face).

I found Cutie at an antique store, but I didn't realize how odd she was until later. I've always loved her, and she's one of my absolute favorite models!
