Our Spring Trip this year was to Winter Park, Colorado where we competed in the Winter Park Music Festival and also had a fun time skiing. Well, some of us did. I personally became an expert at falling down. I got so good that I could kick off my skis so that I could get back up. Thankfully I had some friends who at least tried to help me ski. Monica, my best friend, stayed behind with me and made sure I didn't kill myself. Jon also tried to help me learn to ski better, but his idea of learning how to ski was teaching me how to scream "I'm skiing and I can't stop" in the right tone of voice. After seeing him fall several times on the cliff he called a hill, I realized this was not an easy hill and started my long hike down. It was a very memorable experience. Needless to say I went shopping on the second day instead of skiing. I learned that there is no mall in Winter Park and that their movie theater shows one movie at one time only. Thankfully I chose not to go skiing because the next day Jon the "Navigator" got lost.  On our last night there, there was a large dance turned mosh pit with all of the bands. It was here that we learned our rankings. All of our bands got to move up a catagory because our top band went to the Mid-West Convention in Chicago and couldn't go on our Spring Trip. Therefore our second band played in the top band catagory and so on. I was in the second band. (Thankfully now in the top) All of our bands made first in their catagories. It was a great trip, but sitting on a bus for 20 hours was about as fun as jumping into Lake Michigan in December. :(
